For once I choose a brunette! Given I have only done two style influences so far, but both were blondes. In fact I was having a moment where I was starting to think I wanted to dye my hair back to blonde. I was even looking at dyes, but then I realized I do love having red hair and wasn't ready for any major changes like that just yet.
Daisy Lowe is my style influence for the day and this is not the first time I have acknowledged loving her looks in my blog. She is outrageous with her styles, but she has a point of view and that's what I like best. If you can't tell yet I like an element of "hot mess" to personal style. Hence why I named the blog "pretty ugly things". Anyone can do pretty its adding the ugly to the pretty and making ugly pretty that makes a look special to me. Here's to Daisy Lowe:

Style Infuence for the Day
Another blonde is my daily style influence...almost makes me want to go blonde again, but I don't think I am quite ready for that yet. Michelle Williams is my style influence for the day and I think many would agree with me on her effortless style. On remarks to her style choices she has said that she doesn't like too many pieces or accessories and just likes to keep it simple. I love her very wearable and fun sense of style. Here are some of her looks:

Boy, I'll Take You With Me
Recently I was looking at the Boy by Band of Outsiders latest Fall ready to wear looks and it got me wanting to go back and look at other looks that I had liked by them in the past. This was probably also sparked by my recent Kirsten Dunst style influence as she modeled several of their looks in the past (one being shown from the collection of her modeling for them was used in my previous posts on Dunst).
Here are some a few favorites from their newest ready to wear line:

Urban Oufitters has a skirt influenced by the Boy striped pencil skirt as well..I might have to get it

First Illustrator Illustration
I have recently begun the product development track for my FMM (fashion merchandising management) major. We have just begun the process of learning the programs Illustrator and Photoshop to do technical design work for product development and today was the first day we drew in Illustrator. The assignment was to draw a very basic T-shirt and we had lots of practice during the 4 hour class/lab to work on our skills in drawing with the program. I am happy to say I successfully drew my first product in Illustrator! Its just a basic T-shirt and its not really a great feat to achieve, but I am very excited about my major track and learning more about using the software.
Above is the T-shirt I drew. I know, very exciting...I haven't learned much other than right now. I'll get there.

Style Infuence for the Day
I have recently become more and more fond of Kirsten Dunst street looks. Which prompted me to find a collection of photos representing some style moments I liked. Some are photo shoots, but mainly I wanted to show her every day style which I happen to very much enjoy.
This is not a comment on her acting and not "Oh I think she is such a great actress!" This is merely an appreciation for her personal style. I even love that she looks like a hot mess sometimes (see previous post) and that her hair looks like it might never be brushed.
