Style Influence of the Day

If you are a fashion fan at all most likely you admire Diane Kruger for her sense of style. She is one of the few celebrities that is known more for her looking great on her down time as often as when she is on the red carpet.Without a stylist she looks amazing always and has a great sense of personal style. From sidewalks to the spotlight she is always a star for style. Here is a little tribute to Diane Kruger's style, as she is one of my recent favorite style influences:

All That's Silver and Gold

Art Deco style inspired jewelry has been popping up everywhere lately and I have been wanting to add a piece to my accessory collection (which is actually quite small...I need to work on that). I ended up making this purchase for my Art Deco inspired piece:

Three Tier Geometric Necklace from Urban Outfitters.

Here are a few other Art Deco style pieces that I like, but are unfortunately a bit out of my price range:

Candace Ang

House of Harlow 1960

Elizabeth and James

Welcome Home

Everyone needs a door mat...right? Another home furnishing addition I could use. Had to post this because it was a little too hilarious.

It was actually featured in Lula magazine because Kirsten Dunst had it made for her family when she went to Germany with her family.

Playing House

Being a fan of colors I was pleased to find that Pantone had a line of dishes based off their colors. These dishes are adorable and I love that each dish comes in a different color. I first discovered the mugs by the Pantone line featured in a magazine, but with further investigation I found that they actually have a series of dishes.

Their products have been featured in my design magazines and blogs and are already a well known favorite. These dishes are the dream addition to my apartment and kitchen.

Playing Favorites

Fashion Week is currently in full swing here in NYC. Which means I spend every evening (or morning) looking at the shows online. I have been pleasantly surprised by several of the shows so far and while I have loved some of my usual favorite designers some different names have caught my interest this year. Here are a few of my favorite looks from my favorite shows so far.

Band of Outsiders (of course it was one my favorites)

Prabal Gurung (pink has never looked so good)

Alexander Wang (what's not to love?)

Kimberly Ovitz (loved the draping and thick knit wear)
